Josh: Hi, everyone. Welcome to the SEO+ AI show. My name is Josh Bachynski.
This is Greg Bessoni. The SEO+ AI show is where you get all about SEO AI. So without further ado and without additional technical difficulties, let’s begin.
You can watch live and get free five-minute consultations. Email me at joshbachynski@gmail.com for that.
There will be other possible shameless plugs of things later on in the show when it becomes natural to mention them. The first segment we will talk about today on the show is what's new in AI. So let's look at that right away.
(0.48- 1.53)
I've already taken a quick look, at something called Ramini AI baby. I go to Google Trends and check the last seven days of AI. That's what I've done here.
And here are the standouts that are interesting, and I'm going to go through them really quickly. Something called a Romini AI baby. Basically, it's an AI generator to show your future child.
So you probably put in pictures of the mom and the dad and or whomever, and then it makes a baby out of it. Isn't AI great that we can have hokey tools like this? The next thing is apparently that there was an AI robot press conference, and it was really creepy, and apparently, the robots acted in a weird way.
(1.55- 2.05)
Something called Leap AI also was searched a lot this week. And basically, it is yet another personalized learning plan using AI. So if you are a teacher or you're a student, watch out for Leap AI, because it's going to make customized learning plans as much as the students are going to use AI to write their papers for them.
Teachers are going to use AI to mark them and to create learning plans.
As I say in many other podcasts, the information age is over. We're now in the age of AI, where AI is going to produce the majority of the content. AI is going to consume the majority of the content, and we're just going to be innocent bystanders in this process.
(2.06- 2.40)
Something called AI user experience was searched a lot this week. For some reason, it exploded. I think it's people using AI to determine what the user experience should be, to give them tips and tricks as to how to design your web pages.
If you look back at our past episodes, we already showed you how to use MidJourney to create a web design. It was pretty interesting. So check that out.
WhatsApp was searched a lot. And so I think that that's personal AI for WhatsApp? Using Chat GPT for WhatsApp I think now is what that is.
(2.41- 3.17)
Now let's get to what's new in SEO. So I check also what's searched for the last 30 days in SEO. That's going to be the main topic we talk about today.
So SEO do's and don'ts is what we're talking about today. I'm going to show you what was being searched for the last 30 days. And I think that's where we'll start with the don'ts you're going to see.
These are not things Josh is recommending you do. In fact, this is stuff Josh will recommend you stay away from. And we're going to take a look at that.
So let's take a look. So this is the stuff that was searched. SEO studio tools was explored.
(3.18- 4.03)
SEO Studio Tools is this new free thing based on chatGPT, and they have a YouTube hashtag generator and a YouTube tag generator. Now, maybe the YouTube stuff here would be useful. Some of them might be useful here.
But quite frankly, you got to be careful of all these tools. Text analysis tools. Keyword density checker. Keyword suggestion tool. Article rewriter. URL rating tool. Word Counter well, that's fine if it counts the words properly, it counts the words properly. All that mouse rank checker might be useful.
A DAPA checker might be useful to check out. But when it comes to the text analysis tools, I would be very careful about these things. For example, let me see here. Keyword suggestion tool. Let's see how it works. Enter your keyword.
(4.04- 4.49)
Let's try to do ballet for adults. Now, this is a keyword I've tested extensively among many other keywords. And look at the keywords it comes up with.
This is absolute crap. Look what it says. Ballet for adults, near me. Ballet for Adults, New York. Ballet for adults. Ballet for beginners classes, San Diego, Los Angeles, beginners near me.
This is utter nonsense. Okay, so here is an SEO don't. Don't go onto some free tool with a bunch of ads on the right-hand side, which clearly they're just trying to get traffic for ads.
And don't put any of these keywords on your page because you're going to tank your web page. So that's the public service announcement for today. Don't do that.
(4.50- 5.29)
There are far better tools to do this. The one that we have is called KeywordSpy, which has an advanced AI in it that changes the actual right keywords for you based on the actual Google AIs that Google uses to rank web pages such as BERT, neural matching, rank brain, et cetera.
I'll mention it more later. But don't use a free tool to get this because it's just going to be utter garbage. They're just trying to get traffic for ads. So that's what that one is.
Bright-edge SEO was searched. BrightEdge is another SEO platform that has audit software and an enterprise SEO platform. Why shouldn't you be using this? Again, here's the problem with these tools, and I'm sorry if I sound like a broken record. I keep saying these things, but I don't want you guys to hurt yourselves.
(5.35-6.20)
I don't want you guys to destroy your SEO because it's much harder for me to fix after you've broken it, because I get these emails on a weekly basis. “ I tried some SEO thing. I tried bright edge, SEO. I tried this thing. I tried an e-commerce thing. I lost all my rankings. I get that email on a weekly basis.
And here's the problem, is that it's much harder for me to fix it after you've broken it than if I steer you right to begin with. So don't use any of these tools that have no idea what they're talking about. I run an Underground SEO university called Undergrad SEO University, where we reverse engineer and we test all the ranking factors and find out what is true ranking factors and what are not true ranking factors.
And we've broken this down to a very scientific level. We have high levels of knowledge and high confidence in what are true ranking factors and what are not. And the problem is, these other tools don't have that.
(6.21- 6.55)
They just don't do the testing. Like that free SEO tool, I just showed you.
They're just trying to get traffic. It's just a money grab. It's just a cash grab.
It's just a grift. And again, Bright Edge SEO is going to do some technical SEO from the ecommerce platform and whatnot, but that's not what SEO is. Technical SEO is fake.
It's not real SEO. Technical SEO is one of the last things you need to worry about. It's not important at all.
What you need to worry about are your keywords and your site construction and your off-page SEO. That is the most important thing for SEO. That and another thing called CRO.
(6.56- 7.32)
You need to make sure you know how to do CRO. You study the science of CRO. CRO stands for conversion and optimization.
You need to make sure that is on point as well. So if you're interested in that and learning actually how to do it, here's the shameless plug. Join SEO Underground University.
We have a very collaborative group. We have a very helpful group. There are a lot of people there who will help you, plus our scientific knowledge. I have a discount on that right now.
Plus, people in SEO University use KeywordSpy, and there's a big tie-in, and there are extra special features that SEO University students have in keywords buy that nobody else has.
(7.33- 8.16)
So, again, it's going to cost way too much money, and it's not going to do anything for you.
I'm sorry. I know it sounds weird. You're like, what? The entire SEO industry is wrong? Yes, the entire SEO industry is wrong because they don't approach this within a scientific approach. They still think it's 2005. And you can just write content and buy links, and then you'll be fine and it works 100% of the time.
That's not how it works. That is not how it works. You need to be very careful, or you're going to destroy your website and you're going to destroy your business. So email me for a five-minute email consultation. I have no problem answering any SEO questions. Check out KeywordSpy for on-page stuff.
I'll talk more about that in a second. And join Underground S University to find out what's going on there. If you have any SEO questions right now, please ask.
(8.17- 9.02)
I'd be happy to answer them live on the chat, or you can ask them in the comments later on if you're watching this later on. I'd be very careful about these kinds of companies like SEMrush and whatnot. Also, there's another one that was searched, and this is all the reach, and this is why I'm mentioning this.
And that's why I'm harping on this, because here's another one that says 100% free SEO tools. What if someone told you they were going to give you a free beer? It's not a brand-name beer. It's a beer they brewed in their backyard.
It's free. You don't have to pay them anything at all for it. What would you say to that person? You might say, what's the trick? What's the angle? And here's the trick in the angle, is that they're just trying to make money for ads here on the side.
So the plagiarism checker free is probably fine. The article rewriter, however, is going to be terrible. This is going to be completely and utterly terrible.
(9.03- 9.59)
Let me paste the content here. Let me go here and it keeps wanting to get access to my computer. That's rather scary.
ChatGPT. Okay, let me go say, okay, let me go here and “Go write me a web page about ballet for adults.” Now, you might be like, “Well, Josh, should I go to Chat GBT and ask it to write me a web page about ballet for adults?” No, because this is going to be crap out of the box.
This is going to be terrible. This is not going to be the right word count. It's not going to have the right keywords.
It's not going to have the right Rankbrain keywords, not going to have the right BERT keywords, not going to have the right neural matching keywords. It's not going to have the right knowledge graph keywords. It's not going to have the right helpful AI keywords.
It's not going to have the right product review or review AI keywords. You're like, “Josh, I didn't know I had to have all those keywords.” Well, now you do.
(10.02- 10.37)
The are all AIs that Google has. Let me show you. Here it is.
Here's the guide to Google's search ranking systems. Here are all of the different AIs that they have. This is published by them.
This is public information. Okay, you tell me how many times the other SEOs you talk about. You've even heard them talking about all these, never mind admitting to you the secret that nobody else really knows that each of these AIs has their own keywords they look for, that you need to have on your page and need to have on your off-page or you're never going to rank.
There's BERT. There are deduplication systems. There's the exact match domain system.
(10.38- 11.15)
There's the freshness system. There's the helpful content system. This is an AI that is a system that looks actually for keywords.
There are, of course, links to page rank. There's neural matching.
Ever hear of it? No one even knows what that is. It's the main ranking algorithm that has the main keywords. There are the original content systems. There are the removal-based emotion Systems, which are these special ones.
The Passage ranking system. What's that? That's probably done by BERT as well, but it ranks passages on your webpage.
(11.16- 11.51)
Do you have the right keywords for this? Are you set up for this? Are you optimized for this? Your competitors could be. There are Rankbrain keywords. Reliable information systems review Systems. Site diversity systems.
Spam detection systems. This is a big one. Are you sure you're avoiding all the spam detection systems you need? Like spam brain, for example.
Rank Brain and all these other systems boost you. Spam detection will demote you. Panda has been moved over to something called Coty or Goti or something like that.
Penguin doesn't exist anymore. Hummingbird doesn't exist anymore. It was replaced. So these are all the ranking algorithms that they use. There's also a Knowledge graph in here somewhere. I passed over.
(11.52- 12.33)
Where is the knowledge graph? I'm sure it's in here somewhere. Reliable information systems. Maybe this is where they have a Knowledge Graph.
I can't remember where they have it, but it's in here somewhere. So those are all AIs that you need to worry about to get your rankings. We have that in SEO Underground University.
And we have that in KeywordSpy for your on-page. KeywordSpy is the on-page tool that Underground SEO University uses. You need to be worrying about this stuff.
So when I come here and I go to ChatGPT and get them to make it, there's 50 50 chance that some of those keywords will be in here and some of them will not. Okay, fine. So let me take this keyword thing.
(12.34- 13.31)
What if we take that and we put it in here and we paste it in here? It wants to show notifications. Okay, rewrite this.
Smart spin is recommended. This was clickbait. This is not actually where you click yes.
Oh, I need to break the word limit with $12. Okay, this is just an upsell, guys. All these free tools are crap.
I'm not going to click any more things here because I don't want to install spam on my computer. All these free tools are crap. So all these smart SEO tools are crap.
It's just a cash grab. There is no free lunch. I'm sorry, guys. There's way too much money here to make in SEO. There's nothing free in SEO except for advice like a show like this. And this is good advice, telling you that there are no other free things, right? I'm here to tell you the truth. I make my business model in such a way that I can tell you the truth and I can actually make money.
(13.32- 14.31)
I could be a good person, and I can actually make money. If you don't rank, I don't make any money. That's how we make all of our systems.
That's how we make all of our tools, how we make all of our stuff. It's the only way to do it. It's the only way to prove that we're above board.
We know what we're doing. So, guys, I got to warn you, do not use these free SEO tools. They're just the quickest thing. They can make a chatGPT. So, Greg, do you have any thoughts on that? Do you have any two cents to add there?
Greg: Yeah, there's a lot to digest there. You go through it pretty quickly. But yeah, the takeaway is these tools, and I've used them in the past myself, so I can't say that before joining the Underground SEO University, I would definitely use these tools because they're free and they're easy to use, and you think they're going to help, and so you use them, so don't be ashamed.
(14.32- 15.36)
I think a lot of people do it, obviously, because these guys wouldn't keep making them if they didn't get visitors and clicks. As you said, they just put out ads to monetize it. So that's the takeaway, I think.
And yeah, spending a lot of money on tools as well maybe isn't even a great idea. It's a good point, because these tools, like Hrefs and SEMrush, I know they're like foundational tools. If you're an SEO, you have to have them.
I would ask why, what do they really do? They produce a bunch of data. Yeah, it's pretty cool to see all this data, but does it actually help you? If people can show me how it helps, maybe I'll start using it again. So if anybody out there wants to come on and talk to us about it and show us how those tools help them, I'm for it.
(15.37- 16.25)
Anything that can help me? That's my two cents.
Josh: Yeah, and I would agree.
You're absolutely right. On the flip side, there's paying nothing for a craft tool, and then there's paying whatever, some ludicrous amount per month, whatever it is. I think the full Hrefs is like 700 a month or some big price like that per month.
An SEM rush or some big price per month. Yeah, these are giant companies. They're kind of staples in SEO.
But you know what? I got a secret for you. They have no idea how to do SEO. They have no idea. They have no clue how to do SEO. They just, ‘oh, you want us to show your backlinks?’ There you go. Do they know which ones are counting? No.
(16.26- 17.13)
Do they know which ones are good? No. Do they have any idea of which ones will get you penalized? No. They have no idea.
And they're like, oh, you want us to do a technical audit for you? Fine. We'll look at your robot's text as if that has anything to do with SEO. It has nothing to do with SEO. Nothing at all. Having your sitemap set up right in your search console will contribute to your rankings of 0%.
Because if your navigation sucks so bad that you have to make a sitemap, to begin with, you're not going to be ranking that well anyways, right? Google can find all the pages it needs to rank without a sitemap at all. That's just a fake thing that you hold onto that you think is doing something like wearing your Winnipeg Jets jersey during the playoffs, because you're superstitious. If you take it off, the Jets are going to lose.
Well, I got news for you. That's superstition, and it has no basis in reality. Just like all the beliefs of the free SEO tools and the highly paid SEO tools, it is all just a grift.
(17.14- 18.03)
You need to get in a tool in a group that doesn't listen to anything anyone says, and tests it, and tests it, and tests it, and tests it, and tests it as we do in underground SEO University. And also the product of our university KeywordSpy, which you can use free for two weeks, no credit card needed.
Sign up free for two weeks. Try it. Free for two weeks, no credit card needed.
Don't even have to put it in a credit card. Go to trykeywordspy.com. And you don't have to join underground SEO University to use it either.
If you just want to do the on-page tool, go ahead. Do you want to join Underground SEO University and see the other seven areas of SEO that you need to spend money on? Go ahead, do that too. And we're always improving KeywordSpy as well to do as much automated SEO as possible.
(18.04- 18.40)
But really, you've got to find the right tool that is based in fact, and that's what we do here, is try to base everything. In fact, I'm here to save you thousands of dollars a month. And here's how you do it.
Do you want to know how to save thousands of dollars a month in SEO? One, don't use the free SEO tools because your business will tank and you will lose everything. You will lose everything using the free SEO tools. So don't do that saving your thousand dollars a month there, you're welcome. Here's another way to save $1,000 a month. Don't use SEM Russian Hrefs.
They are overpriced bloated garbage. SEM Russian Hrefs are overpriced bloated garbage. And I'm here to call some others out.
(18.41- 19.20)
Pop is garbage too. It's not based on any real testing lately. And quora is also garbage.
It's not based on any real testing lately either. Sorry, just the way that it is. Pop and Quora are maybe a little bit better than HS and SEMrush to give them some credit, but sorry, they're just not as good.
They're just not as good as the tools that we have in Underground SEO University. The SEOs hate it when I say it, but it's true. Our university does the best testing.
It just does, just hands down. So that's how you save thousands of dollars in SEO. Don't get the wrong tools that are going to hurt you that are either free or cost way too much money.
Try keywords buy for free for two weeks, no credit card needed.
(19.21- 19.56)
And yeah, everybody in SEO needs to make money, right? There are no free lunches, right? There's no one here giving you free information that's not hoping to make some money off it. This is what we do for a living.
This is what I do for a living. This is my job right now. The fact that I'm making money at it tells you that our tools are good or vice versa.
The fact that our tools are good is telling you how much money I'm making at it. And we are doing very well because it actually does what it's supposed to do and that's the only way to do it.
I don't know how this happened, but SEO got tied into the make money online niche somehow, and it gets tied into the snake oil niches somehow. I don't know how that happened in the past.
(19.57- 20.50)
Probably because it used to be so easy. In 2005, it was just buy links, put the exact match query keyword in your URL, your title, and your H1, and you ranked like gangbusters all over the place. When Google was simple back in the easy days, it doesn't work that way anymore.
There are so many AIs you need to contend with that I just showed you. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. You need to have BERT keywords, you need to have Rank brain keywords, and you need to have neural matching keywords.
You need to have knowledge of graph keywords. You need to have those seated across your site and your page in a certain way. You need to have your traffic dealt with in a certain way, your traffic needs to be happy in a certain way.
(20.51-21.16)
And you need to have all that seated in your off-page stuff. Not to mention that the SHEET - the semantic keywords, the helpfulness the experience, the expertise, the authority, and the trust all have to be shown on your page and on your off-page stuff, too. And your review stuff has to be done as well.
And every time Google makes a new AI to classify things, they're making new keywords. You need to stay up to date with all these keywords. You need to put in your key places if you want to rank.
So I want you to rank. I want you to succeed. As Greg said, don't be embarrassed. Don't feel bad at all. We all started from the same place. We all start like little amoebas, crawling the out of the waters into SEO.
We're like, what's going on? The light's too bright. I don't know what I'm doing. We all try the free SEO tools.
(21.17- 21.58)
Of course, we do. They're free. We all try the free stuff. We listen here, we listen there. We listen to these ideas, listen to those ideas. But really, the day of SEO discussion is over.
The day of SEO debates is kind of done, really. And now we know what the game is. We know the game is scientifically tested. Make the next generation a powerful AI tool. Rank all day long. Make money all day long.
That's the new way it's going. I see a few other elite people going in that direction, following in my footsteps. As per usual, I've made more SEO careers than I can count, both in terms of people who've been on my show, people who've been associating with me, and my students as well, which is fine.
(22.01- 22.26)
That's what I do for a living. This is what I do. I do SEO education, and I do also SEO ranking as well.
And I build SEO tools. So, yeah, if you have any SEO questions at all, email me at joshbachynski@gmail.com. Try keywords buy for free for two weeks.
No credit card is needed. Go ahead, try it for free. I'll ask Greg if he has any final comments while I wait for any final SEO questions to flow.
We're in the dog days of summer. Greg has to get back to digging ditches, and I have to get back to watering the trees in my yard. So we'll have a short show today.
(22.27- 23.03)
So, Greg, do you have any final comments, or any final thoughts while we wait for some possible SEO questions to roll with?
Greg: No, I'm just scanning through. I think the idea of doing some Q&A is good. I'm scanning through Reddit right now, looking for folks' questions that may be relevant today.
Josh: If you see a good question there, we'll answer it. We'll answer questions even if they're not your questions. We'll answer any SEO questions we can. So that has been the SEO+ AI show for today. Short and sweet, just the way we like it.
We are on the pulse of what's new in SEO and what's new on AI and we're here to save you thousands and thousands of dollars. I want you to succeed. The only way I make money is if I succeed in SEO.
(23.05- 23.52)
So you've got a community, you've got people who've got your back. We've got this. We can help you out.
So I know a lot of times in SEO I know, Greg, you'll attest to this. You can feel very alone. It's a very isolating experience.
You feel very like you don't know what the true truth is from Google. You know what the truth is from other SEOs who say, “Oh, yeah, Scumma helps you rank this and this helps you do that. What's the know? On this show, we're going to tell you the truth.
Email me at joshbachynski@gmail.com. I'm happy to answer any SEO questions you got. Just send me an email I could answer for five minutes.
(23.55- 24.30)
I can give you a free quickie consultation, right? All right. Thanks, guys for watching. Thanks for listening.
So I guess we'll see you next time. Again, make sure to like and subscribe so you can watch the show live and get your SEO questions live if you want. We're going to have Ryan Maizes, the local master, on in future episodes and other guests as well.
If there's anything you'd like us to review, anything you'd like us to talk about in terms of SEO, or any questions, go ahead and fire them off either in the comments or in email to me and we'll take care of it next week. So from Greg and myself, thanks for watching and we'll see you next time.
